Volume 20-12
PINT SIZE POLKAS
Normally, this section would be jam-packed with all my summer
travels. In fact, this summer would have marked my first ever visit to
the State of Oregon with my Pint Size Polkas show. Instead, I spent
probably just as many hours in April, May and June as I would normally
spend driving in a typical summer producing virtual programs for
libraries in CA, IA, MN, MO, NM, OK, OR, PA, TX, VA, and WI. I didn't
have nearly the number of programs I normally do in the summer – more
like 30 shows instead of 130, but I was so glad to have the
opportunity to earn some money during COVID-19. Plus, I had a lot more
time with my family than usual, which was a nice bonus!
That having been said, I
am hoping and praying for a return to a more normal schedule in 2021.
The interest is thankfully there; I just hope the conditions this
coming summer are conducive to traveling and performing publicly
again!
THE MIKE SCHNEIDER
BAND
As with Pint Size Polkas, bookings were down a lot from other
years. However, we did manage to get some good gigs in this Fall,
including a few socially distanced Oktoberfests in Milwaukee, a
drive-thru event for Blessed Sacrament Parish in Madison, and the John
Pinter Memorial Scholarship Dance for the Wisconsin Polka Boosters in
Muskego. Looking ahead to early 2021, the only in-person event on the
schedule at this point is the Hustisford Community Hall on Sunday,
February 14 from 1-5 PM, subject to change with the pandemic. Please
stay tuned to the Schedule page at
www.mikeschneiderband.com for details. While you're there, be sure
to visit the Media page, then click on the Unplugged icon link to see
all the videos I've done since March. Have a request for a future
video? Please email me and I'll add it to the list of future video
possibilities. Thank you for watching!
CHRISTMAS KIELBASA
I have a brand-new album out for the Holidays, and it's called
Christmas Kielbasa. Here are a few early reviews: "I cannot tell
you how much we love this CD! I think I listened to it at least six
times already." (Debby W., customer); "I absolutely love the whole
thing. It's one of my very favorite CDs of 2020." (Greg Drust, radio
personality); "Got the CD today and it’s one of the best Christmas
albums I have heard...so joyful!" (Lynette P., customer).
If you haven't ordered
your copy of Christmas Kielbasa yet, now is a great time to do
so! If you'd like to order by mail, please send a check for $14.97 per
