Volume 25-04
MILWAUKEE BREWERS
This update is a seriously long time in coming, but hopefully the news
I am sharing here will be worth the wait: I am excited to announce
that I am the Polka Prompt Creator for the Milwaukee Brewers! You may
have seen my Facebook post last week alluding to this. If you go to a
Brewers game this season at American Family Field and hear an
accordion and/or polka music over the stadium's PA system, including
"Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and the "Beer Barrel Polka" during the
seventh inning stretch, those are my recordings! Thanks to the Brewers
for this opportunity to bring the sounds of polka music to the masses,
and for their visionary decision to make their games distinctly
Milwaukee with the addition of my music! Cheer loud, and be polka
proud at all Brewers home games this season!
MIKE SCHNEIDER BAND
PERFORMANCES
This is going to be a busier than normal spring for me, with the
addition of a few new venues to my schedule. Hans Weissgerber, owner
and operator of the Old German Beer Hall and the Estabrook Park Beer
Garden in Milwaukee, has opened a new venue in Brown Deer that I’ll be
playing at a few times between now and the start of my summer travels.
Be sure to stop by and support this new venture for Hans! Polka fans –
and especially musicians – owe him a great deal of thanks for starting
the beer garden trend again in Wisconsin, which has given new life to
the polka genre in the Greater Milwaukee Area!
Speaking of Beer
Gardens, I have three dates at the Estabrook Park Beer Garden between
now and the end of May. Be sure to stop by this trendsetting venue and
say hello! Plus, catch me at the Biergarten at Olbrich Park in Madison
on Sunday, May 25!
I’m also excited to be
starting my fifth month at the Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale! I’m
there solo with my accordion generally one Saturday per month November
through May, and in August.
I also have a number of
band performances coming up, including a big doubleheader on Saturday,
May 10, when we’ll take the stage at the Mayville Park Pavilion in the
afternoon, and then head south to Jefferson for their May Ball
festivities that evening. Plus, we’ll be making our first appearance
at the Croatian Cultural Club in Joliet, IL in May!

PINT SIZE POLKAS
PERFORMANCES
After a busy spring, it’s going to be an even busier summer with
my Pint Size Polkas travels! With over 280,000 miles on my old Honda
minivan, the vast majority of which were accumulated in the name of
polka, I just got another new-to-me Honda minivan and am ready for the
road in 2025! My travels this summer will begin in Tulsa, OK for what
is becoming an almost annual week-long stop for me for their
libraries. The following week I’ll head a little ways north for a
week’s worth of shows in Kansas. From there, it’s down to Texas for
another week-long tour. I haven’t been in the Lone Star State since
2019, and am looking forward to making my way back down for their
libraries! Before heading back north, I’ll be returning to Albuquerque
for my annual visit to their library system.
In July, I’ll be back in
California for another week before heading east to finish off the
month with more shows in New Mexico, Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin, and
Minnesota. It’s going to be an awesome tour west of the Mississippi!
If you’ve never made it
out to one of my Pint Size Polkas programs, please check the
Events page to find a performance near you.
I’ll be updating that page shortly with all of this coming summer’s
performances. Can’t wait to get started!
As always, be
sure to join our growing list of fans on Facebook
here, or the Mike Schneider Band
here. Once you’re there, click the

That's all for this
month. Thanks again and talk to you soon!
